Meet the League: Back to School
We are proud to be partnering with our State Rep, Johanny Cepeda-Freytiz and Centro Hispano to organize a Back to School event for the community. An array of companies and community organizations have come together to provide free backpacks, haircuts, school supplies, and FUN (face painting, temporary tattoos, and food!) to families ahead of the start of school. At this nonpartisan event, JLR will be demonstrating our upcoming Young Women’s Summit club with a special back-to-school edition led by member Colleen Gensemer at 1:30PM, and our Advocacy Committee will be handing out period products as well as on hand to answer questions about our Let’s Talk Period Event and October Panel.
