Olivet Boys & Girls Club

In November 2010 we developed an endeavor that brought us to the Oakbrook Club of Olivet to serve Thanksgiving dinner for their members and families.  Fast forward to today and this event is one of our most popular and favored among our members.  Our members volunteer to prepare turkeys, hams, all the sides and desserts that go along with Thanksgiving.  We deliver and serve the food while also providing entertainment for the kids that attend.  We have face painting and a magic show just to name a few of the activities.

Service Saturdays

In the fall of 2018 we announced that we were adding a new project to further our initiative to empower youth by hosting Service Saturdays at Olivet Boys and Girls Club located at the Oakbrook Club.   This program is held once a month on a Saturday during the school year for three hours and incorporates “done in a day” service learning projects.  At the request of our friends at Olivet, we will keep this project geared towards the young women of the club.  The activities will focus on building developmental assets, cultivating their leadership skills and empower them to make a difference in their community through civic engagement and the creation of community project.  We are thrilled to be able to expand our focus to empower youth and to reach more young women in our community.

This fall we will continue the Service Saturday project at Olivet in the Oakbrook Club: Dates for the 2019/2020 School Year are: TBD
