Olivet Boys & Girls Club

In November 2010, we started serving Thanksgiving dinner at the Oakbrook Club of Olivet to its members and their families. Fast forward to today, and this event is one of our most popular and favored among our members.  Our members volunteer to prepare turkeys, hams, all the sides and desserts that go along with Thanksgiving.  We deliver and serve the food while also providing entertainment for the kids who attend.

Community Connections Club

In the fall of 2018, we added a new program to further our initiative to empower youth at Olivet Boys and Girls Oakbrook Club. Community Connections Club is held four to five times throughout the school year, either after school or on a Saturday. At the meetings, participants and JLR members discuss topics relating to personal empowerment while learning about connecting with themselves, their peers, and their community. The young women are also able to cultivate their leadership skills and make a difference in their community through civic engagement with the completion of a service learning project at each meeting.
